Introducing the CX700
Wireless Speaker System from Technics
Technics' first bookshelf-type wireless HiFi speaker system supports multiple sources such as streaming services, vinyl records, and television. The speakers are visually pleasing as interior design elements, and the SC-CX700 will fit nicely into your daily life.
Now, it's easy to get the best quality sound, no matter what you are listening to.
Stream your music wirelessly
You can listen to music from various sources, including streaming services.
*The unit may require a software update to enable Roon Ready.
The authentic Vinyl experience
Experience analogue record playback* with a turntable.
*PHONO input only supports MM cartridges.
Expansive sound
Enhance the sound for your audio-visual entertainment by easily connecting your television to the system.
The easy-to-use Technics Audio Centre app
The Technics Audio Centre app further enhances the operability of the SC-CX700. The app comes with four major functions: SOURCE, FAVOURITE, ROOM, and SETTINGS. Switching playback content and device settings has never been easier.
Space Tune™ lets you adjust the sound quality to best suit the environment
The SC-CX700 is equipped with three Space Tune™ functions. (1) Easy selection from four presets (Free/Wall/Corner/In a Shelf), which can be set separately for the left and right speakers. (2) Space Tune™ Auto for automatic adjustment with easy operation using the built-in microphone (3) Measured for more precise measurement and correction using the Technics Audio Centre app* (*iOS devices)
Design Harmony
The SC-CX700 is cased in Dinamica™, a microfibre material with a soft suede-like texture produced in part from high-quality recycled polyester. The elegant presence of the unit fits well with any interior design.
Technics Orchestration Concept
This system brings together numerous technologies — speakers, amplifiers, and signal processing — that Technics has perfected over many years. In the SC-CX700, Technics has created a single integrated solution that faithfully reproduces music and other sounds in great detail.
Acoustic Solitude Construction optimises amplifier and speaker performance
The amplifier and speaker enclosures have been separated within a single integrated unit while keeping the size compact. Vibration is one of the major causes of sound quality degradation in amplifiers. If the board with the amplifier circuit is inside the speaker enclosure, the back pressure and vibration from the speaker can affect sound quality. Acoustic Solitude Construction separates the amplifier box from the speaker enclosure. The structural separation prevents the transmission of vibrations and optimises the performance of both.
Ideal speaker control by MBDC (model-based diaphragm control)
The SC-CX700 is equipped with MBDC (Model-Based Diaphragm Control), which adjusts the diaphragm’s movement in realtime for low-range reproduction. MBDC uses a simulation of the speaker diaphragm movement to create signals that adjust and reduce harmonic distortion in the low range. This eliminates distortion in the high and midrange caused by harmonic distortion in the low range, achieving superb sound separation with low distortion.
Amp Technology
JENO Engine
The SC-CX700 is equipped with our JENO Engine, a high-precision fully digital amplifier from Technics. It resolves problems in digital processing, such as degradation of precise timing caused by jittering, and minimises degradation of sound quality during the conversion of multibit signals into 1-bit PWM signals. Utilising the JENO Engine in each individual speaker also reduces disturbance effects in audio signal transmission between the left and right speakers, ensuring a match in the sound quality characteristics of the speakers to realise high-quality stereo reproduction.
Circuit Construction
A separated structure has been created on the baseboard to realise high S/N and clear separation. The power supply section that handles significant power, the digital signal processing section that handles high-speed signals, and the amplifier section are each separated from one another. The power supply is also shielded to further prevent interference between the sections.
Twin Power Supply Circuit System
The SC-CX700 utilises the Twin Power Supply Circuit System to reduce mutual interference between the high-power amplifier and the sensitive small-signal circuits. This supplies power from two separate transformers to the two separate circuits. Furthermore, each circuit and power supply is connected using the shortest possible distance, while also being positioned separately from one another to ensure minimal noise in the system.
High-Quality Analog Circuit
To achieve high-quality analogue reproduction, film capacitors and other components equivalent to those used in higher-end models are employed throughout the analogue input circuit. Sound quality has been tuned without compromise.
