Record Restore is a ‘spread and peel’ vinyl record cleaner. A thin layer of measured formula is spread across the playing surface, and when dry, is simply peeled-off the surface of the record. The Record Restore Box Set contains all you need to clean up to 30 x 12-inch LPs. The supplied 'Stack Rack' lets you stack your treated records while they dry (with BOTH sides treated at once), allowing for up to 10 records to be dried at a time. Additional 200ml Record Restore fluid bottles can be purchased separately.

This record cleaning product is unique - as it is specifically designed as a cleaner - as opposed to the 'glue-like' action of other alternatives, where the objective was to simply pull debris from the groove. Record Restore cleaning system also completely eliminates static electricity during and following a treatment. It is a discrete cleaning method, which means that any previous cleans are completely divorced from any subsequent cleans. Unlike most other record cleaning methods - which are meant to clean 20 to 50 records in one session - you can use Record Restore to clean just ONE record with no cleaning mixture wasted. Benefits are delivered in single treatment and there is no premixing of solutions.

Record Restore is designed to use with both second-hand and new records. Second-hand records can have decades of dirt built-up in them, to the point where treating them twice (with two separate cleaning sessions) will produce the most quiet playback. New records can have production residue left on the surface, which Record Restore will remove.  

Record Restore is chemically engineered to:

• Dissolve greases, oils, fats, etc (binder substances)
• Lower their viscosity and neutralise statically charged micro-particulate soils
• Break their adhesion to the surface, and
• Seal all dissolved materials in a pliable film for complete removal

How it Works

The formula works by first penetrating deep into the grooves where it turns contaminants, and the binder substances that weld them to the groove walls, into an emulsion. Its engineered to specifically target and remove static charged soiling. Unless neutralised, this form of contaminant will remain adhered to the groove walls.

When the emulsion dries, the dissolved solids are trapped in the resulting film, which is simply peeled off the record. The binders and 100% of the dissolved contaminants are fully removed - without leaving any residue.

Unlike other cleaning methods, there's no cross-contamination from reused fluids, cloths or brushes. And there's no abrasive scrubbing or harmful ingredients that can damage your records. Record Restore takes around 3 minutes to apply per 12" LP, seconds to peel.
