Meet the new Model Four Floorstanding Speakers
The most Livable Speaker int eh Model Collection from KLH
Say hello to Model Four, KLH's smallest three-way loudspeaker ever. If you love Model Five, but worry it might be too big for your space, Model Four is the answer. It features the same dedicated 4-inch midrange and 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter as Model Five and the same punchy, articulate 8-inch woofer found in Model Three.
This potent combination is the perfect blend of exceptional full-range sound quality and timeless design in a surprisingly small package.
Made for Real Rooms
The Model Four is perfectly balanced for almost any space. Most speakers have holes in them to let air escape, we call this a “ported” design. Unfortunately, ported speakers perform poorly when placed next to walls, corners, and small spaces.
KLH's Model Four is a sealed speaker, meaning it has no holes or ports, helping ensure it sounds incredible wherever you put it. This design is called acoustic suspension, a technology KLH invented nearly 70 years ago and still uses today.
At 13-inches wide and 8.25-inches deep, Model Four delivers the presence of a true floorstanding loudspeaker without demanding a floor plan built around it.
They're Timeless, not Vintage
Model Four pays homage to our 1950s heritage with real wood veneers, period-inspired details, and a design that expertly captures the spirit of classic stereo systems.
Real Wood Veneer
Natural wood grain ensures every Model Four is unique and will remain timelessly beautiful. Choose from English Walnut, White Oak, or Black Ash finishes.
Wide Baffle
Most speakers are slim and deep, whereas KLH speakers are wide and shallow. This broad face is the signature look of KLH, and it is as functional as it is gorgeous. The wide front baffle helps ensure more of the music stays where it belongs, right in front of you.
Magnetic Grilles
Period-inspired fabrics effortlessly cling to the front of the speakers to create the signature silhouette of classic speakers. Magnetic grilles are included with your purchase.
Slanted Riser Base
An included 6-degree matte black steel riser base lifts the speaker to the ideal listening height and angle, completing the silhouette.
Powerful Performance
A speaker that’ll leave you speechless, the Model Four features three drivers to expertly produce full-range music playback. The 8-inch woofer offers deep, punchy bass while the dedicated 4-inch midrange speaker perfectly reproduces voices and instrumentation. To round out the sonic spectrum, a 1-inch tweeter makes high notes sparkle with definition and clarity.
Most speakers of this size skip the midrange speaker, demanding the woofer and tweeter handle the entire frequency band. Model Four does not make that compromise, and the difference is immediate.
Other Features include:
8" Pulp-Paper Woofer: Deep, controlled bass from a sealed enclosure, reaching down to 46Hz.
4" Pulp-Paper Midrange: A dedicated driver for the frequencies that matter most: voices, guitars, pianos, everything in the middle of the mix.
1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter: Smooth, extended treble with soft rubber surround. Shared with Model Five.
Three-Position Acoustic Balance Control: A KLH original, the rotary switch on the back trims the mids and highs by 1.5 or 3dB. This helps Model Four sound great in a bright, hard-surfaced room as well as a soft, carpeted one.
46Hz–20kHz Frequency response (±3dB)
88dB In-room sensitivity: Easy to drive, pairs comfortably with amplifiers from 30 to 150 watts.
150W: RMS power handling
600W: Peak power handling
