Featuring an all-new design, the latest Reference Premiere series blends decades of Klipsch acoustic expertise with modern technology for an exceptional home theater experience. Klipsch Reference Premiere Centre Channel speakers provide superior clarity for dialogue and music.
Cerametallic™ woofers and a Hybrid Cross-Section Tractrix® Horn emit lifelike, front row sound. There is no more important speaker to your surround sound system than your centre channel. It’s the speaker that holds the rest of the system together. All of your dialogue comes from this speaker and that means you want to have the best quality speaker you can find to get the clearest experience possible. If you can’t understand the words, the rest is irrelevant.
Klipschs' centre channel speakers are designed to give you the clearest movie dialogue and music lyrics for an ultimate home theatre experience. No other brand on the market can deliver the realistic detail and emotion like Klipsch.
Hear what you’ve been missing. Get crystal-clear sound for your movie dialogue and music lyrics with the incredible acoustics of the Klipsch RP-500C centre channel speaker. The proprietary Tractrix® horn-loaded technology gives you a lifelike, front-row listening experience unlike any other.
New Horn and Grille
Klipsch redesigned the Tractrix® horn from a 60×90 horn to a 90×90 horn for a wider dispersion area. This square horn mouth is paired with a circular horn throat for enhanced sound staging, while maintaining the dynamic, powerful sound of a Klipsch speaker. Strong, flexible grilles magnetically detach revealing a clean baffle. Unlike the Reference II series, the magnets have been embedded within the baffle for superior high frequency diffraction reduction. A brushed polymer veneer adds more modern aesthetic for the Reference Premiere series. The clean, seamless lines of these speakers allow them to be incorporated into any decor.
Hybrid Tractrix® Horn Technology
Klipsch proprietary Tractrix® horn-loaded technology ensures high-frequency energy of the RP-500C centre channel speaker is aimed directly at the listener and reduces unwanted, artificial reverb caused by indirect sound bouncing off walls – meaning you experience the most clear, detailed, lifelike sound possible.
Horn Anatomy
Klipsch Reference Premiere series speakers feature a compressed moulded silicon face that’s matted to the 90×90 Tractrix horn to reduces horn resonance for a smoother frequency response. Klipsch computer modelled phase plugs acts as a mechanical filter to further ensure a smooth, flat frequency response while protecting the tweeter from damage.
All-New Vented Tweeter
A vented tweeter design reduces standing waves behind the tweeter diaphragm for a smoother high frequency reproduction. The titanium tweeter diaphragm’s light weight yet rigid composition exceeds the performance of aluminium, polymer or silk tweeters. Klipsch award-winning Linear Travel Suspension technology leverages a piston motion of the titanium diaphragm that lowers distortion and delivers real-to-life sound. A ceramic magnet housing provides premium performance, Klipsch Reference Premiere tweeters set the standard in acoustic reproduction.
Cerametallic™ Woofers
Klipsch Proprietary Cerametallic™ woofers are the RP-500C centre channel speaker’s signature statement for both sound and aesthetics. This extremely light, rigid materials holds its shape while being able to deliver lower frequencies with maximum efficiency.
Woofer Anatomy
Klipsch Cerametallic™ cones are matted to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity. Reference Premiere woofers are housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that’s secured to a large magnet motor for exceptional efficiency and low distortion, and matched to our horn-loaded tweeters for optimal acoustic execution.
Tractrix Ports
Utilising Tractrix geometry, the Reference Premiere ports allow for the most efficient, fastest air transfer from the cabinet, which reduces port noise for punchier low frequencies. Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass.
Finished To Perfection
The RP-500C ebony and walnut finishes boast satin painted baffles with a scratch resistant design for an elegant audio solution to your home theatre system. Strong, flexible, magnetic grilles provide protection and a sleek aesthetic to compliment your home’s decor.
