The Jazz 80 is the latest highlight from Cayin. A handmade tube amplifier that adds wireless music playback to the portfolio, designed and manufactured to the highest Cayin standards.

Cayin Jazz 80 boasts a solid design, high-quality workmanship throughout and made from selected, quality components.

Stunning Case and Tube Configuration

The deep glossy case, is striking and its metallic dress not only looks good, it offers protection for the valuable electronics. 

Inside, the Jazz 80 houses eight tubes. Four KT88 Output Tubes deliver powerful amplification, forming the backbone of the sound performance.

Preamp and Driver Tubes in the front row, two 12AX7 tubes are dedicated to voltage amplification of incoming music signals, whilst the other two 12AU7 tubes serve as phase splitters and drivers for the KT88s.

A protective cage, designed to match the cabinet safeguards the high-quality tubes from mechanical damage whilst four shock-absorbing feet ensure stability and minimise vibrations.

Wireless Connectivity - Bluetooth and LDAC

Versatility is at the front and Centre in Cayin Jazz 80’s design. The built-in Bluetooth module enables effortless wireless connection with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and televisions.

When the Bluetooth input is selected, a small blue LED flashes as the amplifier identifies itself as “Cayin HD BT”, allowing for a fast, seamless pairing.  LDAC codec ensures the wireless transmission of high-resolution audio at speeds of up to 990 kbps; ideal for Android devices running version 8.0 and above.

Ultralinear and Triode mode

Cayin Jazz 80 offers dual operating modes. 

Triode Mode
With pre-installed KT88 tubes, the amplifier delivers 2×20 watts, ideal for those who prefer a classic, warm tube sound.

Ultralinear Mode

For those seeking a more dynamic performance, switch to ultralinear mode to enjoy a robust 2×40 watts output.

A conveniently placed toggle switch in front of the two 12AX7 tubes allows for an effortless transition between these modes, while an elaborately designed power supply with a filter choke ensures optimum performance.

Precision Bias Circuit for Perfect Tube Matching

Achieving optimal performance is simple with this amplifiers precision bias circuit. Three toggle switches, one on the left and two on the right facilitate individual bias adjustment for each output tube via trim potentiometers.

The centre toggle switch repurposes the left VU meter into a bias control tool, with separate controls (A1/A2 for the left channel and A3/A4 for the right) ensuring perfectly balanced and calibrated channels. Simple Operation

Functional and Intuitive Operation

Cayin prides itself on its quality and ease of use and the Jazz 80 is no different.

A small switch on the left side panel powers on the amplifier with a gentle click, and a blinking LED on the volume control indicates the soft start as the system warms up.

Once the LED remains steadily lit, the unit is fully operational. Input selection can be made via a rotary control on the front panel or the high-quality aluminum remote control, and volume adjustments are easily managed either through the level control on the right or via infrared remote control.
