Taking advantage of the latest Texas Instruments DAC/ADC chip set, REL's engineers reduced the noise on the wireless system by 12 dB. The effect - transformative. Sound traveling through 40, 50, or even 60 feet arrives clear, crisp, dynamic, and with even richer, more saturated tonal colours.
The Airship II offers high-level Input, low-level Input, .1/LFE-RCA input, and .1/LFE XLR balanced input. The LFE and High-Level may run concurrently for the REL Theatre Reference performance.
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Airship II allows simultaneous use of our 5.8 gig connection for both high level connection and the .1/LFE channel needed for the highest quality theatre. This way, both 2-channel music and multi-channel theatre are supported simultaneously, meaning the REL owner can use their REL without having to adjust anything further to enjoy any form of music or theatre.
The high-level input is designed to accept the stereo (two-channel) signals from the speaker terminals of your receiver, integrated amplifier, or power amplifier(s). This ensures that your subwoofer receives exactly the same signal as the main speakers, meaning the character of the bass from the main system is carried forward into our sub-bass system. Along with REL's extremely fast, natural-sounding PerfectFilter™ input circuits, the Airship II ensures you reap the benefits of REL’s superior system integration; RELs are known for their perfect, rich integration in which you cannot sonically locate the subwoofer’s location.
REL AirShip Transmitter MKII provides two wireless channels to ensure top-tier theatre performance: one for music and theatre in High-Level (or Low-Level, which is ideal for active wireless speakers), and a second for delivering .1/LFE in theatre settings. This enables the perfect replication of the most powerful, dynamic special effects in theatre.
PAIRED TO PERFECTION
The Airship II has been designed and engineered to deliver a simple, elegant pairing that operates as seamlessly as it looks. Just plug both the receiver and sender in within a few seconds of each other, push a button, and Airship II seeks out its mating receiver and pairs. Standard time to pair is less than 5 seconds.
