Focal Chorus 705.....Still Made In France

The Focal Chorus 705 is the entry-level speaker for a seven strong Chorus range extending up to the Chorus 726 floorstanding speakers. The Chorus range is only one of five ranges of speakers from Focal which go all the way up to the Grand Utopia that sell for $250,000 and is often quoted as one of the greatest speakers of all time.

The Chorus is a 2 way design made from very high quality materials. The bass driver is made from Polyglass,a cellulose fibre material reinforced with glass micro spheres, which enhances the clear reproduction of midrange and bass. The inverted dome tweeter is made from Aluminium/Magnesium alloy which has the benefit of a new Poron suspension that sweetens the highs. The famous English HiFi Magazine "What HiFi" in their review of the Chorus 705's .........."In terms of showroom and loungeroom appeal, the Focals are up there with the best. That impression is more or less cemented when the 705's start playing music.

Having said that the Chorus 705 is the entry level speaker,it is anything but an entry level in sound quality. The Chorus 705's are made in France to the same level of quality manufacture that the much more expensive models are made to.And the sound.......when we set them up in one of our listening rooms it's always good to watch the customer's faces in the first 30 seconds of playing the Chorus 705's.Many times we have been asked if it is the bigger speakers next to them that are playing.....they simply can't believe the clarity and atmospheric sound from a speaker that sells for under $1,000 a pair. They are available in walnut or high gloss black lacquer finishes.
